Master of Science in Human Resource Development
The Master of Science in Human Resource Development at Villanova University is offered both on-campus and online. Classes in either setting occur in the evening on weekdays. The MS in HRD program is a total of 36 credits with required courses encompassing financial and human capital, organization development, and employment law. Elective topics include HR Technology, Relational Capital, and Ethics. All classes are held in an eight-week-long format. The SHRM Chapter at Villanova is an active student group, with many networking events each year, including the annual networking reception. The faculty at Villanova is made up of over a dozen professionals, whose human resources experience spans both the public and private sectors.
The program's curriculum follows the guidelines set by SHRM. To gain admission, applicants should submit transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a statement of goals, a writing sample, and resume. For those interested in applying for a graduate assistantship, application materials should be submitted by March 15 for consideration.
