Master of Science in Health Care Administration and Management

Created to help professionals with either a business or clinical background cultivate the necessary leadership and management skills for careers in the fast-paced world of health care administration, Salve Regina University’s Master of Science in Health Care Administration and Management degree program merges management theory with practical experiences for a truly comprehensive program. Taught by faculty who are themselves respected health care professionals, students learn the ins and outs of juggling fiscal responsibility with top-quality patient care and excellent clinical outcomes. Rather than taking a cookie cutter approach, the master’s program’s faculty work to customize the curriculum to match each participant’s professional goals. For convenience, coursework is offered on campus and online, making the program accessible even to busy professionals. To receive their degree, students must complete 12 courses and earn 36 credits. This is comprised of 10 core courses in finance, management, marketing, policy, law and ethics as it applies to health care administration. To personalize the program, students also complete an internship and an elective course. Graduates of the program will be well prepared to seek professional positions in health care administration and management at a variety of health care organizations.
