Master’s in Healthcare Administration Online Programs (MHA) at the University of Central Florida

The University of Central Florida’s College of Health and Public Affairs offers an online Executive Master of Health Administration. The program is intended for self-motivated, experienced health services professionals with at least three years of relevant work experience. The program concentrates on the structure of healthcare organizations and assesses vital issues that impact the healthcare field. Students gain a solid understanding of healthcare systems and the program competencies are developed through high-quality media-enhanced instruction. Program competencies are also applied through experiential projects, service learning, and internships.

Students begin the program in a cohort with no more than 30 students to enable instructors to present topics in greater detail and allow students to gain meaningful relationships with their peers. The program is delivered completely online and students do not have to attend any on-campus classes. The program requires the completion of 44 credit hours. The core courses include healthcare statistics and research, health care ethics and law, leadership for healthcare executives, financial accounting for healthcare managers, epidemiology and health planning, health care organizational behavior and human resource management, health care economics and policy, health care quality and risk management, healthcare informatics for health care leaders, and financial management for healthcare managers. Students must also complete a capstone course at the end of the program.
